How does this work?
With the crown milling machine, we can obtain clean, fast digital impressions of your tooth in a few minutes using a laser scanner. This laser scanning technology is not only precise when capturing all the details of your tooth, but it is also as safe as the check-out scanner at the grocery store. Your impression is saved and used to design your new tooth with the special software.
Step 1:
Dr. Yung has just used the laser scanner wand to take a “digital” impression of a tooth
Step 2:
Dr. Yung will now use the software to “create” your new crown
Step 3:
The crown milling machine is where your crown is custom-made
If you are a candidate, we will “create” your custom crown in-house, so that it is a personalized fit using the computer-based design center. From there, the information is transferred to the in-office milling unit, where your crown is made by our trained team!
Will my insurance cover this?
This is the same crown you would get if you waited the traditional 2-4 weeks. Now, you can get it made directly in our office.
